2009 NASCAR Rookie of the Year Clinches second Showdown victory in three years The second night of the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown began with a special screening of the movie Days of Thunder which celebrates its 20th anniversary since Paramount Pictures first released the auto racing drama film in 1990. Actor Michael Rooker who played the character Rowdy Burns served as the Grand Marshal of the event and kicked off the start of the 225-lap K&N Pro Series feature race by delivering the start engines command. In addition to the movie, fans previewed the new Days of Thunder video game which will be released later this year by Paramount Digital Entertainment. Joey Logano got his second NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown trophy and Sergio Pena nearly made a historic debut on the national stage.
